Thursday – October 7, 2009 – LV Tweetup @ Pearly Bakers
Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Still not Twittering? At this point, you have two options…you can sign up for Twitter and attend tonight’s Tweetup at Pearly Baker’s Alehouse in Easton, or you can just skip reading this post. Not trying to sound like a jerk here, but if you’re not on Twitter chances are you’re not going to want to come to the Tweetup tonight. It’s that simple.

TweetupBut, for those of you who are on Twitter, make sure you do everything in your power to make it over to the Tweetup tonight. The Tweetup starts at 7PM and Pearly Baker’s is offering $2 drafts for the occasion. Pearly Baker’s features live music every Thursday night, tomorrow night’s will be performed by Doug Mackie and starts at 9PM.

More information about the Tweetup can be found here. Big thanks to Christopher Elston Phtography for letting me steal his pic from the last Tweetup, go here to check out more of his work, or just click the pic!

Tuesday – September 8, 2009 – LV Tweetup @ BrewWorks on the Green
Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

If the concept of a Tweetup is something that goes right over your head, don’t worry about it, you’re not alone. Most people who aren’t on Twitter probably have no idea what in the world a Tweetup is. But, if you are on Twitter and you haven’t been out to a Lehigh Valley Tweetup yet, you’re missing a really good time.

September’s Lehigh Valley Tweetup takes place tonight at The Brew Works on the Green in the clubhouse of the Allentown Municipal Golf Course at 6PM. Be one of the first 48 people to arrive and receive a FREE sleeve of LV Tweetup golf balls! If you’re looking to meet some people, make some friends, network, or all of the above, the LV Tweetup is exactly what you’re looking for!

Thursday – July 23, 2009 – Something for everyone
Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

I’m gonna go out on a limb and put this out there. No matter what you are into, you’ll be able to find something you like in my post today. With three completely different events tonight there’s got to be something that interests you.

Are you interested in meeting new people? Expanding your social horizons and trying something new? In that case, why not stop by this month’s Lehigh Valley Tweetup? It starts tonight at 6PM at the offices of Spark Media and is totally free. I’ve never been to Spark before, I can only assume that they have a built in executives bar which is why I’ll be bringing my resume. Any office that is cool enough to host a mixer, is an office I want to work at.

Are you into comedy? Laughing it up and having a good time? Well than check out the Associated Mess tonight at Pitchers in Allentown. The Lehigh Valley finally has it’s very own improv troupe and it’s about time too. It’s been how long since “Who’s Line Is It Anyway?” got popular? Not only does the Mess put on an awesome show but it’s filled with audience participation too. Show starts at 8PM and costs $8, once inside enjoy Pitchers great food and famous $5 domestic pitchers.

Or, are you looking to cut loose tonight? Start the weekend a little bit early? If so, you’ll want to head to Roosevelt’s 21st in Bethlehem where CapCee will be working the turntables all night long. CapCee doesn’t have a weekly gig at Roosevelt’s. So if you’re looking to see a pro like Cap in action at Roosevelt’s, tonight may be your only chance…ever! The party starts tonight at 10PM and doesn’t end until they turn the house lights on. $2 Labatt pints and $4 Red Bull & vodka pints should keep the crowd jumping.

So, like I said, lot of different stuff going on tonight. Hopefully something up there interests you. If not, let me know in the comments section below and I’ll see what else I can find…

Tuesday – June 22, 2009 – Lehigh Valley Tweetup
Monday, June 22nd, 2009

If you’re new to the digital age, the concept of a “Tweetup” may confuse you. According to the Urban Dictionary, Tweetups are an “An organized or impromptu gathering of people that use Twitter.” One of the fun parts of Twitter is the sense of camaraderie you develop with people you’ve never even met, yet still regularly communicate with online. Tweetups were born out of a desire to put more than just a picture to that online communication.

The Lehigh Valley is having it’s second Official Tweetup tomorrow from 6-8PM at the Bethlehem BrewWorks. More information can be found here. To RSVP, contact @mandreano or @lvtweetup…and if that doesn’t make any sense to you, you probably shouldn’t be going.
