A mere 9 days after closing due to a fire, the Liberty St Tavern is back open. I just placed a call to the Tavern to find out if they are participating in the West Allentown pub crawl tonight and turns out they aren’t. But they are back open for business and offering a special on Corona’s tonight. Pub crawl or no pub crawl, I’m thinking tonight may be a good night to stop by the Tavern and welcome them back.

OMG! Glow 2 is tonight!

As if I even need to put this post up. I’ve been talking about Glow pretty much all week, I’m guessing you’re probably pretty sick of it by now. All the necessary info is posted below, check it out and plan accordingly.
But back to my original question…what to wear? Obviously with the blacklights wearing something white is going to look pretty cool. I’m planning on wearing a white button down with black pinstripes and black tie with white accents. What about you guys? Anyone going all out and rocking nothing but white? See you tonight!

OMG! Liberty Street Tavern Damaged by Fire!

At about 1:30PM today the building housing the Liberty Street Tavern, a popular bar among Muhlenberg College students and West Allentown residents, caught fire causing serious damage to the Tavern and the attached residences. 69 News has been following the story since the fire erupted, they have complete coverage here. Fortunately no one was hurt, but the fire could not have come at a worse time. The Tavern was scheduled to host a stop on the West Allentown pub crawl on May 2. It’s really unfortunate that this happened but don’t let this deter you from participating in the pub crawl. As far as I know the crawl is still on, but if that should change I’ll let everyone know. The owner of the Tavern says he plans to rebuild, hoping to come back “stronger” than before.

OMG! Details announced about a second West Allentown Pub Crawl!

Forgive my overreaction, but this is big news. Last month’s St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl through West Allentown was a huge success and a great time for everyone who participated. And apparently, it was a big enough success that a second pub crawl is being organized. Scheduled around Cinco De Mayo, the pub crawl is set to take place on May 2nd starting at 6:30PM. All of your favorite West Allentown bars are back again this time around. But this time instead of one free beer, the $15 registration fee gets you two free beers.

- Volpe’s Sports Bar
- Mixx Lounge @ The Rose Bowl
