Hot Spot: Sangria Opens In Downtown Allentown
Just in time for the end of summer George Meireles has opened Sangria. The restaurant was created by Mr. Meireles, the team behind Easton’s hottest dining locations and is located on the first-floor of the Butz Corporate Center at Ninth and Hamilton in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Sangria seems to also boast the largest outdoor sidewalk patio seating in the Lehigh Valley

Update:
Sangria is scheduled to open on Monday the 23rd of August.
What are your thoughts? Is the revitalization of downtown Allentown going in the right direction?

We were invited to Sangria by the owner George last Thursday nite.I live in Easton go to Georges other restaurants all the time.So I was not surprised when I saw yet another magnificent place. His taste is exquisite. He is a very personable man so every one who enters will be made to feel special.Allentown is lucky to have him.You must try Sangria….I know we will go back and have dinner in his private wine room.

That’s really great! thanks for sharing. I was also able to attend on Thursday, although missed the sit down dinners on Friday and Sat. I think the place looks amazing and the food was really good as well.

I’d love to know if there is a website to view the menu/drinks. It sounds good and being the foodie I am I love to try new places. I can usually tell from a menu if it’s going to be good. AND it helps if there are 2 things:
a great drink list (martini list that would make me want to try it all) AND great desserts…I find if drinks are good and dessert is good, the food is usu fabulous too.
