Monday – September 28, 2009 – Pink Ribbon Tour @ Looper's
Are you looking for a reason to shave your head? Are you passionate about finding a cure for cancer? Are you also interested in getting your hands on some delicious food and tasty drinks? Well look no further, I’ve got just the event for you!
Tonight at 5PM at Looper’s Grille and Bar is the Pink Ribbon Tour for Breast Cancer Awareness and Southside BBQ. The idea behind this event is to raise money for breast cancer research, so bring some extra cash and make a donation. Or, if you’re not able to make a donation, show your support for the cause by shaving your head. If 100 people shave their heads, Dr Lee Riley, the head of Oncology at St Luke’s, has agreed to have his legs and chest waxed at the event tonight. At the very least you could show up to indulge your morbid curiosity of watching a man get his legs waxed. For more information about the event check out the Facebook event page. The BBQ starts at 5PM and goes until 9PM, so come on out for great food, great drinks and a great cause!
