Ok. Despite the fact that we are in the middle of vacation season, there’s a lot of stuff going on this week. July is traditionally a popular month to go on vacation and as a result bars and restaurants tend to do less events. But several local groups are bucking that trend and making this week one of the most exciting all summer.

As the week goes on I’ll be bringing you more detailed posts about each individual event, but for right now I’m just going to post a quick rundown of the week so you can start thinking ahead.

Tuesday

• Tickle Me Tuesday @ Allentown BrewWorks - This weeks show features headliner Cal Verduchi. The show starts at 8PM so get there and get your laugh on.
• “Lehigh Valley Trivia Night” @ Starter’s Riverport, Roosevelt’s 21st & Tally Ho - Tuesday is the unnofficial Trivia Night at bars throughout the LV. My two personal favorites are Starter’s Riverport and Roosevelt’s. What are yours?

Thursday

• July Lehigh Valley Tweetup @ Spark Offices – LV Scene Twitter’s, do you? If so, come to this month’s Tweetup hosted at the offices of Spark. Don’t know anyone who’s going? No problem, you actually might be better off that way! Go here or here for more details.
• Associated Mess @ Pitchers – Looking for live, local improv comedy in the LV? Look no further. The Mess is the only group doing it and they’re damn good at it too! The show starts at 8PM and costs $8…sounds like a good deal to me!
• An Evening with Cap Cee @ Roosevelt’s 21st – Cap Cee. Roosevelt’s. One night only. Enough said.

Friday & Saturday

• Christmas in July @ Starter’s Riverport - It’s the 2nd annual Christmas in July party at Starter’s Riveport and this year they are going big. More details to come about this exciting event, or just click here.
