Not sure if anyone else out there is a baseball fan, but if you are you probably know that we’re in the All-Star Break right now. Tonight is the Home-run Derby and tomorrow night is the All-star Game…which is as good an excuse as any to head on out to your local watering hole for some baseball and brews.

Now it’s not exactly local for me (I live in Bethlehem) but tonight I’m heading to Allentown’s West End to the Tavern on Liberty St. Their pizza is out of this world and their beer selection is better than most. Happy hour runs from 6-8PM and, just in time for the derby, Moosehead pitchers are $5 from 8PM-Midnight. For a full list of weekly specials at the Tavern, go here.

There’s a good chance I’ll also be checking out some of the other awesome bars in the West End. Volpe’s, Callaghan’s Ale House, Stooge’s, Ringer’s Roost, and Greg’s West End Saloon all have great food and a comfortable environment. Baseball, pizza, & beer…what else could you need for an awesome night?
