Guys, I hate to say it but sometimes you just gotta get out of dodge. That’s right, tomorrow I’m leaving our fair valley and heading south to beautiful Philadelphia to catch the Phillies as they take on the Hotlanta Braves. So, in honor of me abandoning you, why don’t you check out some of the bars near Coca-cola Park, the Phillies’ AAA affiliate.
- The PigPen is right across the street from Coca-cola Park and is currently one of the hottest spots in town. Once people get tired of the $6 cover that heat is going to fade but for right now, enjoy it while it lasts. In the PigPen’s favor, their drink prices are reasonable, they frequently have live entertainment, and they draw a really big crowd.
- If cougars are your thing, Mezza Luna is your bar after an IronPigs game. Mezza Luna usually draws a pretty solid crowd regardless of whether or not the IronPigs are playing. Which is good considering the Pigs are currently on a road trip. $2.00 Yuengling Lager drafts and a live band should keep things hopping at this ballpark bar.
- Have you been to Pitchers yet? No? Then you need to check it out. Great drink prices ($5 domestic pitchers, all day, every day), great food, and plenty of room (including a smoking patio)…Pitchers has something to please everyone.
So I know you’re all wicked jealous I’m going to the Phils game to cheer on Cole Hamels and the rest of the team, but please try to have some fun without me.
